We have a great selection of  local food trucks that visit the brewery in a rotation, plus have many regular events such as weekly Trivia nights, monthly Music Bingo nights, live music and comedy shows. In addition to our core range of beers we have regular seasonal / special beers for you to try often paired to special menus by the food trucks. Wed 13th May REGULAR WED NIGHT TRIVIA. Register from 7pm, starts 7:30. TONY's WOODFIRED ITALIAN PIZZA from 4pm. No need to book, no entry fee, prizes to win and midweek fun to be had.
Sat 16th May. The Masters of Grunge, proudly present, ‘The Battle for Seattle’. Featuring the Pearl Jam and Nirvana collection. From the guys who brought you the Riot Act Pearl Jam show last year so you know they are good!!! (click pic for more details and tickets)
Sun 17th May BIKE DAY OUT. The Distinguished Gentleman's Charity motorcycle ride agin terminates at MACALISTER BREWING this year. Gates open at noon, with live music, WHATEVER food truck, bike show & shine with prizes (bikes only in the carpark). If you want to participate in the ride register at https://www.gentlemansride.com/ or just come down for a beer and check out the bikes.
Mon 18th May "Pint of Science" Macalisters is proud to again be hosting "Pint of Science" for the Cairns region. Join us for fascinating talks on the latest science & research from local experts and have a beer and a feed at the same time!!! Sat 23rd May "Who Cares" is a hilarious comedy show by DC, a seasoned carer with over 23 years of experience. This special night is dedicated to nurses, carers, and anyone who has ever cared for others — whether it’s children or loved ones. Expect a fun, relatable evening filled with laughter and stories that celebrate the joys and challenges of caring. Join us for a night where everyone Who Cares is welcome to laugh and unwind! Wed 27th May Come join us and watch game 1 on our big projector screen, big sound, great atmosphere! Round your mates up and come for a few beers and enjoy!! (Note no TRIVIA on GAME OF ORIGIN NIGHTS!)
Sat 30th May 7:30pm. Bingo but not like nana used to play! Loud & heaps of fun, with prizes to win. A great night out. Not for the faint hearted or easily offended!!, Loud, loose and a little brash!!! Heaps of adult fun!! No fee / booking but get in early for warm up beers, a feed, and a seat!! MA15+
Sun 31st May TONY's PIZZA on site from noon with some specials for the day (details coming next week!!). Macalisters has agian brewed a special 4 keg batch of "TONY PERONI" "Italian Stallion Lager", that went down so well last year, and we will have live Italian music from local Italian performer "Nico" from 2 to 5pm! Fun times!!!
Sat June 13th If you came to last year's birthday bash you will know how good these legends are. It was such a good night!! Actually that under sells it! One of the top best gigs we have ever put on! This costs us a "metric shit ton" to put on, their fees, flying the band up from Sydney, and providing local production and equipment etc, but we (Rob in particular!!!) loves them! and it's on us!! No booking, no tickets, just a great night. Get in early on the night if you want a seat, there will be 150 ish but guaranteed you'll be dancing after 3 beers!!!! We will pull the front row of tables out so plenty room to dance! Put this in ya diary! Come celebrate 9 years of Macalisters with us!!!!
Sat 20th June Join award-winning comedians Simone Springer and Amy Hetherington for the Girls Night Comedy Road Trip, a hilarious, high-energy, and completely relatable comedy show dedicated to the beautiful chaos of womanhood, motherhood, and everything in between. Sat 11th July Join us for the much anticipated second instalment of Rock For Ronald as we celebrate Fleetwood Mac's masterpiece, Rumours, played live in full by Vandelay and special guests. All proceeds supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia. 200 tickets available, 150 seated for first in the door. Tickets only $35. Richard has a takeaway shop at Holloways Beach but does regular pop ups at the brewery. Fabulous Salt and Pepper Calamari, Chilli Prawns on rice plus curries!
