WHAT’S ON AT MACALISTERS

We have a great selection of  local food trucks that visit the brewery in a rotation, plus have many regular events such as weekly Trivia nights, monthly Music Bingo nights, live music and comedy shows. In addition to our core range of beers we have regular seasonal / special beers for you to try often paired to special menus by the food trucks. Wed 14th October Awesome QUIZMEISTERS TRIVIA every Wednesday starts at 7:30pm. Registration from 7pm. Prizes to win, fun and midweek beers to be had, and amazing local comedian CALEB DAY as host makes this a great midweek night out. Food trucks on site from 4pm! No booking needed / no fee just come enjoy!!
Fri 16th October - Regular Friday Meat Tray raffle. Last week's meat tray raffle raised $308 the local SES. Thanks for all who bought tickets. This week we will be donating to FNQ Legacy who help families of fallen servicemen. Locals helping Locals!
Sat 17th October Country tunes Loud & Loose at Macalisters! Join us for a ripper night featuring the best of country old and new. Free admission, no booking required. Heaps of room to dance. Feel free to dress the part. Don't know how to country dance? Never fear, Gemma from Sparkle & Stomp Line Dancing will lead the way. 7:30pm start, but get in early for beers and a feed, and to grab a seat! TONY's WOODFIRED ITALIAN PIZZA on site from noon
Fri 23rd October NICOLE with "THE DART" on drums are coming to Macalisters Fri 23rd Oct 4 to 7pm. No admission fee, just come have a few Friday knock of beers and enjoy!!!
Mon 26th October Australian music icon Rick Price returns to the stage with his Call On Me Tour, celebrating the release of “Call On Me”, the latest release from his acclaimed Hometown album. Plus local legend NICOLE NIGHTHAWK providing the Support Act. Bar Open from 6pm, with WHATEVER food truck on site. (click pic for more details and tickets)
Sat 31st October Bingo but not like nana used to play! Loud & heaps of fun, with prizes to win. A great night out. Think nightclub disco crossed with bingo! Heaps of adult fun!! No fee / booking but get in early for warm up beers, a feed, and to get a seat!! MA15+
Sat 7th November Come join the Silver Fox Jazz band, playing New Orleans Jazz & Blues, plus dancing from Cairns' SwingRays dancers!!! Following their two recent sell out shows ( 2 x 250 people per show) at Bulmba-ja Arts centre in Cairns, Macalister Brewing is delighted to have secured a date for The Silver Fox Jazz Band to perform their smooth, sassy, and fun New Orleans-style traditional jazz, Dixieland, and blues(click pic for more details and tickets)
Fri 13th November Get ready for a night of laughter, competition, mind-blowing magic and unbelievable mind reading as TRICK & QUESTION takes over Macalister Brewery , Cairns! 🎤 Two hosts. One stage. Teams battling for bragging rights! Join Colly from Simply Magic and BB, your quick-witted Quizmaster, as they bring you an unforgettable evening packed with hilarious banter, unexpected surprises and a whole lot of friendly competition! Sat 5th December After three sold out shows, (1 x Beatles tribute & 2 x Fleetwood Mac tributes) Vandelay are back at Macalisters, this time with their favourite 90's nerd rock group Weezer's first album, the "Blue Album"Come and celebrate all their best tunes, from Buddy Holly, Sweater song, plus say it ain't so, and many more. Aaron cooks low and slow American Style slow cooked BBQ
Proper Italian Woodfired Pizza, cooked as only an Italian can!!
Damon (Nomad backwards!!!) is a fully trained chef and cooks amazing dishes!!

Richard has a takeaway shop at Holloways Beach but does regular pop ups at the brewery. Fabulous Salt and Pepper Calamari, Chilli Prawns on rice plus curries!
